Meeting Highlights

October 10, 2015 Board of Directors’ Meeting
President John Miles called the meeting to order at 10:03am PDT. Board members in attendance were John Miles, John Hook, Marcia Zeliff, Christine McGrail and Marc Guzman. Management and Owners were also present.

The following actions took place:

  • The Board approved the minutes of the August 22, 2015 Board of Directors’ Meeting.
  • An overview of Front Desk Operations, Maintenance, Activities, Landscaping, Going Green Efforts, Guest Satisfaction Scores and Fiscal Performance was presented.
  • The Board moved into Executive Session at 11:01am to discuss Associate Matters and reconvened the Board Meeting at 11:24am.
  • The Board adopted a resolution approving and authorizing an on-site housing accommodation for Jennifer Brown, General Manager, on the terms set forth in the Housing Agreement distributed to the Board and authorized Grand Pacific Resort Management to execute the Housing Agreement.
  • The following was discussed during the Owner Forum: the current use week reservation system and various options.

October 10, 2015 Organizational Meeting
President John Miles called the meeting to order at 1:50pm PDT. Board members in attendance were John Miles, Lucille Caruana, Christine McGrail, John Hook and Marc Guzman. Management was also present.

The Board approved the appointment of John Miles as President, John Hook as Vice President, Christine McGrail as Secretary, Marc Guzman and Lucille Caruana as Directors. Owner Marcia Zeliff will act as Chief Financial Officer to the Board.

January 23, 2016 Board of Directors’ Meeting
President John Miles called the meeting to order at 9:59am PST. Board members in attendance were John Miles, John Hook, Lucie Caruana, Christine McGrail and Marc Guzman. Management and Owners were also present.

The following actions took place:

  • The Board approved the minutes of the October 10, 2015 Board of Directors’ Meeting (Lucie Caruana abstained) and the minutes of the October 10, 2015 Organizational Meeting.
  • An overview of Front Desk Operations, Maintenance, Activities, Landscaping, Going Green Efforts, Guest Satisfaction Scores and Fiscal Performance was presented.
  • Dorothy Sieckman, Director of Facilities and Construction, reviewed the current and potential resort projects, including the loft conversions, window replacement and solar panels.
  • The Board approved the reserve expenditure for the 2017-2019 Reserve Study not to exceed $2,700.

April 16, 2016 Board of Directors’ Meeting
President John Miles called the meeting to order at 10:03am PDT. Board members in attendance were John Miles, John Hook, Marc Guzman, Christine McGrail and Lucie Caruana. Management and Owners were also present.

  • The Board approved the minutes of the January 23, 2016 Board of Directors’ Meeting.
  • Marsi Gigler, Manager of Insurance and Risk Management, reviewed the current insurance policies in place at Channel Island Shores.
  • An overview of Front Desk Operations, Maintenance, Activities, Landscaping, Going Green Efforts, Guest Satisfaction Scores and Fiscal Performance was presented.
  • The Board approved reserve expenditures for the ADA unit and bathroom grab bars not to exceed $15,630.
