Your Reserve Dollars at Work (continued)

Since my arrival at the property last October, it was very obvious to me why our Owners love Wave Crest Resort so much. I have met many original Owners who are now vacationing with grandchildren that are the same age as their children were when they originally purchased. What a great story to share and it is my goal to continue to improve on the vacation experiences you have enjoyed over the years.

One area that sits as a top priority is property maintenance, along with the safety and security of our Owners, Guests and Associates. With this in mind, I’m happy to report on the following upgrades that have been completed
this year:

  • Three new BBQs were purchased
  • Pool umbrellas and stands have been purchased
  • The recreation room coffee setup has been upgraded to include coffee service utilizing Boyd’s coffee products
  • New Board games
  • An interior multi-phase plan was done and a model unit was completed
  • The fire alarm system has been upgraded
  • The boiler system has been completely upgraded, which includes new regulators and shutoff valves and leaking stand pipes were repaired
  • Tools and equipment have been purchased for our team that will allow them to work safely and more efficiently, such as new housekeeping supply carts and a welding station to repair the fence as needed
  • Resort signage has been upgraded
  • A complete Reserve study walk-through was conducted to assess all aspects of the property

In addition to the items mentioned above, regular ongoing unit upkeep and repairs continue to be a top priority for the in-house maintenance department. They are actively making repairs to various items, which include painting, fence repair and maintaining the irrigation system, just to name a few.

While a lot of work has been accomplished, we are only just beginning. Here is a snapshot of some items we are actively planning for in addition to our upcoming interior refurbishment:

  • Duct work and heater repair for six bluff-side units to take place in January
  • TV and Internet cable upgrades, which will allow the use of a single universal remote control
  • Wi-Fi system upgrade
  • New Guest Services Directories for guest rooms

I am also happy to report that the resort has been awarded Gold Crown status with RCI for 2017. I am confident this will continue in years to come. It has been a pleasure to get to know a majority of our Owners over the last year. The Wave Crest team and I look forward to welcoming you home for your next visit!
