Red Wolf Lodge at Squaw Valley
Red Wolf Mountain Link -
September 2016
Welcome Red Wolf Lodge at Squaw Valley Owner,

The resort had an amazing winter last year with snowfall exceeding the average for the year. Occupancy levels were up and the resort was thriving with people excited about the great skiing conditions. With all the snow, water levels raised in Lake Tahoe, enough to release water from the dam for a couple months. This has allowed people to raft and float the upper portion of the Truckee River from the dam to River Ranch, which is always a great activity for our Owners and Guests. With beautiful sunny weather, the lake activities were in full swing with kayaking, paddle boarding, boating, jet skiing and swimming. The waterfalls in Shirley Canyon and near Emerald Bay were flowing with an abundance of water making the hiking in these areas outstanding. All these activities helped the resort have a successful summer.

Exciting Updates
The spring and summer were certainly busy with updates at the resort. The fire pit has been updated with new lava rock and ceramic gas logs. A 30-minute timer has been added allowing our Owners and Guests to enjoy it from 3pm to 9pm. Additionally, the wood deck in the north east corner of the sundeck was replaced. It was rebuilt with redwood that looks amazing and pathway lights were added for safety. Also, the decks outside of the first floor rooms leading to the sundeck were replaced with Trex decking. An extra step was added for safety making it three steps instead of two. The Trex decking looks beautiful and will last for many years to come.

Proposed Expansion of the Village at Squaw Valley
Your Board of Directors and Management Company continues to encourage you to learn more about the proposed development of approximately 100 acres of land within Squaw Valley, owned by Squaw Valley Holdings (previously known as KSL). You can learn more about the proposed project at www.squawrenaissance.com and by viewing the model which is located at Basecamp in The Squaw Valley Village. At the most recent Placer County hearing on August 11th, the Planning Commission voted four to two to certify the Village at Squaw Valley Environmental Impact Report (EIR), and recommend to the Board of Supervisors that they approve the Village project. The Board of Supervisors will meet in the near future to vote on the project.

Sincerely,
Nick Batliner
