Hello Southern California Beach Club Owners!
 The sand, rocks and the beach are always a conversation piece at The Beach Club. Everyone wants to know how much sand is currently on the beach. With some of the larger waves recently, we have a good amount of sand and there are plenty of beaches for our Owners to stroll and enjoy. The sand is not as plentiful south of the resort. The stronger high tides have splashed up on the Strand, but luckily we have not experienced that in front of the Beach Club.
 New curtains were delivered to half of the units in December. With only one day for installation, we were thrilled with the results. It is such an improvement and Owners are raving about the new look. The vendor will now be measuring for the remaining rooms and we will have the second half of the property complete this year.
Maintenance Weeks started January 8th and the team did deep cleaning, scouring each room floor by floor, and painting. The remainder of the deck work will be completed (weather permitting); palm trees trimmed, and park trees on the north side of the building trimmed. Several of our Owners were concerned about the park trees being too large and obstructing the view. The trimming will certainly be a welcomed task to have completed in January.
 A new activity is starting on January 25th! Victoria and Ed will be hosting a two-hour painting class each week.Owners will be able to choose between several pieces of art and become an artist before our eyes. Victoria and Ed have great ideas and are anxious to work with our Owners. We have seen improved participation in our Activities which is reflected in our activity scores trending above our goals. I’ve been hosting my color with Julie activity and it has been a great way to get to know Owners on a casual level. Everyone relaxes when coloring is involved!  If our Owners don’t see a whale, they will receive a ticket to come back for free, valid through the end of the next season, 2018.
