Hello Channel Island Shores Owners!
New Upgrades! The resort recently upgraded the cable wiring for each building and added new set top boxes in all units. The entire resort now offers updated cable including a channel guide and the HBO premium channel. Additionally, the 19 inch televisions in the master bedrooms are in the process of being replaced by larger 32 to 40 inch televisions. WIFI was also upgraded to addresses your family’s technology needs by enabling streaming and multi-device access during your vacation week.
 It’s great to be part of the GPR family! One of our sister resorts generously donated some gently used items to the resort this year which included king size beds, artwork, TV’s, and DVD players. The king-sized bed sets enabled the maintenance team to completely remove the side and footboards in each unit. The housekeeping department was also excited to receive wine glasses and replacement kitchen items including new knife blocks for each unit. The maintenance and housekeeping teams have been working diligently during our annual scheduled maintenance weeks. Two to three units are set aside each week from January to March so that the team can provide a deeper cleaning and address any maintenance items in the units. The 2017 Maintenance Week projects include:
• Checking smoke and carbon monoxide detectors to ensure your safety
• Removing side and footboards on all beds
• Replacing mattresses
• Replacing toilets
• Installing secondary locks for the sliding glass doors
• Touch up painting
• Replacing TVs
• Deep cleaning
GPR held a celebration in February rolling out the 2017 Milestones for the entire resort team. Our Milestones include Associate Engagement and Empowerment to help keep the team motivated and ready to ensure Owners receive service excellence. Our associates had a blast walking the “Yellow Brick Road” and learning about our new milestones and goals for 2017 while enjoying lunch and desserts.
