Red Wolf Lakeside Lodge
Resort Update
March 2017

Hello Red Wolf Lakeside Lodge Owners!

Winter 2017 will fondly be remembered as “Snowmagedeon”. The first two months of this year yielded record breaking amounts of snow. Lake Tahoe is now at its highest level in more than a decade. With more water in the forecast, the dam in Tahoe City is now releasing water and the Truckee River is finally flowing. It is estimated that if Lake Tahoe was emptied, its water would cover the entire state of California 14 inches deep. Mount Rose Ski resort recorded 54 feet of snow. The last measurement of the Tahoe Basin’s snow pack calculated it to be 233% of the average size.

The Maintenance team has worked diligently to keep the parking and common areas, walkways and stairwells clear of snow and ice. The Housekeeping team made their way through the snow to service all Guest units and complete check-outs. The Front Desk Associates did a great job keeping Owners and Guests calm whenever power was lost in the local area. Kudos to a great team! We also recently installed a new 60” flat screen television in the Owner's Wolf Den so you can enjoy your favorite movies and sporting events!

The resort will soon be receiving the final pieces to complete the Wolf Den furniture update including: new cushions and pillows for the bench seating, new seat cushions added to all dining room chairs and a bright rug, to tie it all together.

The Resort Manager’s office is also receiving an update. A new desk, chairs and storage units have been ordered to give it a fresh look and enhance functionality.

Congratulations to Elizabeth De Cota for being chosen as our BE EPIC Champion for 2016! Elizabeth has been a Room Attendant for over six years and has earned this prestigious award as the result of her performance and winning attitude.

We are moving into Spring with the planned Maintenance weeks not far behind. This year, the resort will be taking two weeks to complete the scheduled work, from May 14th - 28th. During this time, the resort will be completely closed.

The projects to be completed during Maintenance weeks are: replacing remaining roofs and installation of new window treatments in all units with sliding glass doors. The new curtains will be shear, accompanied by a black-out curtain, for a more refined look.
