Hilton Grand Vacation Club MarBrisa
November 2017
Greetings from MarBrisa!

We would like to welcome Lynn Wall, our new Director of Guest Services, to the MarBrisa leadership team. Lynn brings a wealth of knowledge and talent to our resort. She has over 10 years Hospitality management experience with Four Seasons (Maui, Santa Barbara and Aviara) and Hilton Hotels (Torrey Pines). Lynn’s background is in both Guest Services and Housekeeping. She is a graduate of the University of Houston, Conrad Hilton College, with a B.S. in Hospitality Management.

If you don’t believe in unicorns you should have stayed with us in September. During International Housekeeping Week, we had multiple sightings of this mythical creature which also happens to be the mascot of the Housekeeping Department. The team had a blast celebrating the hard work and dedication that they provide our Owners and Guests every day. We enlisted our guests to participate by passing out high-five cards to the housekeepers to show their appreciation.

Twice a year the resort receives an extensive Quality Assurance audit from HGVC. This is an unannounced visit to ensure the resort meets all Hilton Grand Vacations requirements in the areas of Brand Standards, Cleanliness and Condition. MarBrisa received its second audit on October 18th and I am happy to report that the team received an overall assessment of 98% and the Housekeeping team received a 100% on room cleanliness. We could not be prouder of the team and all of their hard work.

The next time you are in our lobby take be sure to check out two new resort amenities:
  • Our custom-made “MarBrisa Book Nook” is located right next to the fireplace. At this new lending library you are invited to borrow books (for free) during your stay and return them when you depart. The book nook sign will be updated every two months with a new literary-related quote that is hand-painted for us by a local artist on a wood board. Our first homage to reading is this delightful quote by Mark Twain: “Good friends, good books and a sleepy conscience: This is the ideal life.”

  • Another addition to our Lobby that we hope you will find convenient is a new ATM machine. It is located just behind the front desk on the right. Now you don’t have to drive across the street or go searching outside the resort when you need some cash to purchase more LEGOS!
Getting Greener Every Day:
While our resort’s spectacular location provides easy access to local water activities, including Legoland Water Park and the Pacific Ocean, this also means that our Pool Towels often leave the premises and never return. In an effort to reduce our towel replacement costs (which is good for the environment as well as our budget) , we’ve hired “Chomps” the Cove Pool Shark. You will find “Chomps” at the two main pool deck entrance/exits. He is always hungry and his favorite meal is Pool Towels. So after a fun day at The Cove please remember to feed your towels to our friendly shark before you head out. "Chomps" will thank you for your kindness!

And speaking of new critters, MarBrisa has a new mascot! "Cherry", our Leopard Gecko, has just finished escrow and is the proud owner of a one-bedroom “Geckominium” in Imagination Station. "Cherry" has already acclimated to her new surroundings and is winning the hearts of our guests.

As we wind down into the Holiday season, we pause and take a moment to reflect back on the Best Year Ever at MarBrisa. We are thankful for each other, our family, and friends. Happy Holidays to you and your family.

Sincerely,
Megan Conner
