Hello Red Wolf Lodge at Squaw Valley Owners,
Winter is on its way with the hope for another fantastic ski season. The Tahoe area has received a couple of small snow storms this fall already. Squaw Valley Ski Resort has been testing their snow making equipment anticipating an earlier than normal opening day on November 17. Recently, Squaw Valley Ski Holdings, Mammoth Mountain, Intrawest, and Aspen Ski Co all merged. This is very exciting as it could provide many benefits to all in the near future. The merger will now rival Vail and their Epic Pass, which could bring more business to Squaw Valley.
Squaw Valley hosted some fun events again these past months:
- The ever popular and biggest Octoberfest in North Lake Tahoe is always fun with many Bavarian activities for all to enjoy including the keg rolling, brat toss, and stein holding.
- Spartan Race World Championships was held in Squaw Valley again bringing over 10,000 participants to conquer the 16.3 mile course with over 30 challenging obstacles. The course wound all over the mountain, including going over the top of the Palisades (the top of the mountain). I was told by many participants that it was the most difficult course they have done.
At the Resort
All of the new Clubhouse appliances have been installed. They look marvelous - giving the Clubhouse an enhanced look. Upcoming upgrades include new sofas, lounge and fireplace seat cushions. I am excited to show it off to our Owners.
The resort is in excellent condition and ready for another big winter. I look forward to a great ski season and hope to see you all here to enjoy.
Warm Regards,
Nick Batliner
