Ski Season Update
"Miracle March" brought some much needed moisture to Lake Tahoe and saved our ski season - we had 223 inches of snow on the upper mountain, which is more than the rest of the year combined! Squaw Valley will be staying open until Memorial Day.
Our Newest Upgrades
Our team is excited about our new key card system for all units and common areas. We've had problems with the aged keys from time-to-time and the upgrade is great.
The new key cards are RFID, which means you can place them next to a cell phone and they will not be demagnetized. They are also easier to use - no more swiping through a lock. Instead, you simply hold the key card up to the door mechanism and voila, you're in.
And if you're a fan of stainless steel appliances (who isn't) then you'll be happy to hear that we're installing new ones in the units this month.
Supporting Our Community
Last month we partnered with Grand Pacific Resorts and our sister resort, Red Wolf Lakeside Lodge, to raise money for two local non-profits.
Tahoe Food Hub works to restore local food distribution by building a regional food system for North Lake Tahoe, and
High Fives Foundation is dedicated to raising injury prevention awareness and providing rehabilitation for mountain sport enthusiasts.
During our "Breakfast of Champions" event, held in The Village at Squaw Valley, we invited folks to join us for an oatmeal bar where we shared local food resources and provided information on helmet safety.
We also asked visitors to sign up at the event to show support for the two non-profits. For every sign-up, Grand Pacific Resorts donated $3 and we are proud to say the effort, aimed at
inspiring families to embrace healthy living, raised $3,000 for the two organizations!
