We Are #KauaiStrong
Storm Dumps Rain, Leads to Flooding
As you likely heard in the news, Kauai received over 50 inches of rain within a 24-hour period last month and the northernmost part of the island experienced widespread flooding and road closures.
The island is recovering and our hearts are with those who were deeply impacted.
At Makai Club Resort, we did end up with a lot of water throughout the grounds, but thanks to our dedicated and responsive staff, the impact was minimal.
Water got into one ground floor condo unit and seeped through a window sill in a cottage unit, but within a few days everything was back to normal.
We truly appreciate the patience of our Owners and guests who were staying with us during this time.
"Thanks so much for all you did when the flooding caused the water outage. You guys have been great! There's no better staff anywhere!" - Jill Goodrich Ekhlas, Facebook

Upgrades to Furnishings
We have been replacing some of the 'soft goods' in units to freshen up the interiors and we're happy to report that the project is complete!
The next time you stay with us, you'll notice the difference - there are new sofas and chairs, dining room chairs, draperies and other items throughout our units.
We think you'll like what you see!
